Responsibilities

  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work effectively with customers, stakeholders, and managers across the organization.

    • Provide excellent customer service, focusing on requirements and solutions.
  • Video Production
    • Conceptualize, coordinate, and produce video productions.
    • Draft storyboards and edit video products.
    • Operate production equipment (audio, video, projection, lighting).
    • Record live, staged, or scripted productions (events, interviews).
    • Integrate text, computer graphics, conventional art, photographs, or other media into multimedia products.
  • Accessibility and Communication
    • Apply guidelines to ensure information and materials are accessible for persons with disabilities.
    • Possess strong communication (oral and written), problem‑solving, analytic, and interpersonal skills.
    • Effectively communicate with customers, management, and team members.

Job Summary

Communications personnel at the National Security Agency empower the organization by delivering timely, effective, and tailored communications that inform, educate, and inspire, such as developing state‑of‑the‑art intranet websites and applications, performing live event closed captioning, designing logos, publishing reports, and maintaining and safeguarding records.

Qualifications

Degree must be in Media Arts, Film, Photography, or related creative field (e.g., Videography, Cinematography, Film Studies, 2D or 3D Animation, Industrial Design, Digital Video Production, Radio, Television, and Film, Sound Design, Broadcasting, or Gaming Design). Relevant experience must include one or more of the following areas: videography, photography, broadcasting & streaming, audio, sound design, and 2D/3D animation. Entry/Developmental entry requires a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with no experience. Full performance entry requires a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, a master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a doctoral degree with no experience.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

Salary is based on education level and years of experience. Salary range: $57,164 – $131,826 (Entry/Developmental, Full Performance). Benefits include a comprehensive package. This is a full‑time position, Monday – Friday, with a basic 8‑hour/day work requirement between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible). A two‑year DCIPS trial period applies unless you are veterans' preference‑eligible, in which case a one‑year trial period applies.
