Position Description
Responsibilities will include:
- Teaching courses in choral music (including choral ensembles, choral literature, private choral conducting lessons, basic conducting, choral music education, and related areas) as assigned.
- Service, including participation in university and/or departmental committees, supervising student chapter of GA-ACDA, activity in professional organizations, recruitment, and educational or creative activities that contribute to an active portfolio as a choral conductor and music educator.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience in higher education preferred; graduate assistant teaching may be considered.
- Demonstrated excellence and experience in choral conducting high school, collegiate, and/or professional choral ensembles preferred.
Required Education
- Master's degree in choral conducting required. Doctoral degree in choral conducting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience in public school choral music preferred.
- A record of successful recruitment of choral/vocal students preferred.

Salary
$55,000
