Lecturer of Music – Collaborative Piano

School of Music, College of the Arts, Atlanta Campus

Salary: $55,000

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in applied and collaborative piano and related areas.
• Perform as a collaborative pianist and supervise student pianists (including graduate assistants).
• Serve on university and departmental committees; coordinate administrative duties for the collaborative piano area; recruit students; engage in professional organizations; contribute to an active portfolio of collaborative piano performance and pedagogy.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience as a collaborative pianist working with singers and instrumentalists.

Required Education

• Master's degree in piano performance or collaborative piano (required).
• Doctoral degree in collaborative piano (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in higher education (preferred).
• Demonstrated excellence as a collaborative pianist and pedagogue, including performances in professional venues and with professional ensembles (preferred).
• A record of successful recruitment of collaborative piano students (preferred).
