You:

You are a client‑facing PR and media strategist who balances strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. You build strong relationships with editors, industry partners, and internal teams to develop plans that elevate awareness and thought leadership, manage paid trade media, and report measurable results. You are organized, detail‑oriented, and data‑informed, with the ability to translate complex, technical topics into compelling stories while collaborating across service lines and contributing as a subject matter expert in a fast‑paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Public Relations
    • Serve as a client‑facing strategist.
    • Lead SCORR public relations efforts by developing plans that are standalone or part of an integrated marketing strategy, including communications related to mergers and acquisitions.
    • Foster relationships with editors, advocacy groups, and industry associations.
    • Guide and execute PR pitching and events to enhance subject matter expert (SME) visibility and thought leadership through earned opportunities.
    • Set up and manage press release distribution through the wire, SCORR lists, and client lists;maintainrelationships with third‑party vendors.
    • Develop PR and media performance reports; measure and leverage KPIs to inform recommendations.
    • Plan and execute press events, interviews, and speaking opportunities, including collaboration with the trade show team toidentifyopportunities at industry events.
    • Stay current on AP Style, grammatical trends, and client‑specific styles; take ownership of proofreading and accuracy.
    • Quickly learn technical and scientific terminology; research and stay current on industry, company, product, and technical developments relevant to clients’ businesses.
  • Media
    • Serve as the paid trade media expert and strategist for clients.
    • Develop trade media recommendations and plans, execute placements upon approval, and measure performance.
    • Negotiate trade media placements and manage ad submissions.
    • Continuouslyidentifynew media partners that meet client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing, ora relatedfield.
  • 7+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience in B2B marketing.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute on plans.
