Overview

Georgia State University College of the Arts is looking for a Public Relations Coordinator to join an energetic team that drives excellence in the arts community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and logistics for events, including paperwork, catering, security, advertising, coordinating volunteers, purchases, event setup, and breakdown.
  • Handle internal and external communications, video production, and photo documentation/archives.
  • Assist with NASAD protocol and preparation.
  • Build partnerships, collaborations, and expand social media presence and community engagement.
  • Manage off‑campus events in addition to on‑campus events, both evenings and weekend exhibitions.
  • Oversee the Ernest G. Welch Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series, coordinating paperwork, travel, lodging, and supervising the graduate assistant.
  • Compile VAS talks/dates on the calendar, distribute event information to local publications, invite community members, alumni, donors, and post talks on social media, create online ads, provide swag and thank‑you notes.
  • Arrange technology equipment needs, coordinate film/live stream of talks, facilitate studio visits and student luncheons.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Hiring Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience, or high school diploma/GED and eight years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Shift: 8:30 am – 5:15 pm.
  • Salary: $43,049 – $55,000.
  • Pay Grade: 16.
  • FLSA Status: Exempt.
  • Job Type: Full Time (Benefits Eligible).
