This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
This position will assist in developing program curriculum course and training materials and marketing communication materials pertaining to a mindfulness-based K-12 social-emotional learning program called Be CALM. Key responsibilities include curriculum, collateral and communications materials. Secondary responsibilities include participation in training and technical assistance educators in middle and high school.
Intervention Design and Development
- Develop and adapt curriculum content and materials under the supervision and guidance of the program director, integrating knowledge of adolescent development, mindfulness, social-emotional learning, adult learning methods, and the school delivery context.
Marketing and Communications Design and Development
- Develop flyers, recruitment materials, dissemination materials, website and other promotional materials including drafting text and graphic design and layout.
- Ensure consistent graphic design (logos, colors, fonts, etc) style across communications and educational materials.
Program Implementation
- Support Be CALM Training Team with occasional training and technical assistance for secondary educators.
