Responsibilities

The Department of Writing Studies and Rhetoric at Hofstra University, Long Island, is seeking to fill anticipated part‑time adjunct teaching positions. The position involves teaching the first‑ and/or second‑semester writing courses (WSC 001 or WSC 002) during the fall 2025 semester. There may also be opportunities to teach professional business writing and public speaking.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in composition, English, creative writing, or a similar field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching composition at the college level is strongly preferred.
