Job Overview

We are looking for an English‑to‑Romanian Creative UI and Marketing Translator/Reviewer for a music streaming company. The role focuses on translating UI and marketing content, ensuring the meaning, tone, and readability are appropriate for the Romanian audience.

Project Details

• Job Title: English into Romanian Creative UI and Marketing Senior Translator/Reviewer
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Remote (US or Canada, must work U.S. hours)
• Task Type: Translation, Copy Edit
• Estimated work volumes: 15 hours/week
• Employment Type: Freelance

Main Duties

• Translate and review content from English into Romanian, preserving the original meaning in a readable, culturally appropriate manner.
• Handle content types: Informational, Legal, Marketing, Product, Support.
• Use the CAT tool Smartling.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience translating and reviewing content in the specified subject areas.
• Proficient in marketing and product terminology and general informational content.
• Well‑versed in translation and terminology tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Native fluency in Romanian (proficient).
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to follow instructions such as character restrictions and to articulate rationale behind translation choices.
• Knowledge of UI, CS technical aspects and creative aspects (synopses, episodic titles).
