CAPTRUST is looking for a dynamic
Marketing Associate
to join its in-house marketing communications and creative services team. This team supports corporate marketing, business development, internal communications, and sales and marketing initiatives for a rapidly growing and collaborative organization.
Overview Our Corporate Marketing team covers three main bodies of work: design, event support, and internal communications. CAPTRUST’s marketing strategy is a combination of the high-level activities listed below, which are intended to support the firm’s growth efforts and the needs of its clients.
Targeted and appropriate messaging communicated through automated marketing platforms and applications, media outlets and publications, corporate websites, and presence on social media.
Creation and support of events designed to establish CAPTRUST, its advisors, and its subject matter experts as thought leaders within appropriate market segments.
Successful application and delivery of the brand through print and electronic media, as well as in-person events, to create a consistent and world-class experience across all interactions.
Provision of real-time support for business development opportunities based on market intelligence, historical data and trends, and understanding of the opportunity to ensure a successful outcome.
Responsibilities Approximately 40% of this individual's time will be spent supporting our in-house design team with their processes and the creation and delivery of materials for our stakeholders. Examples include:
Scheduling headshot sessions and filing finalized images across CAPTRUST platforms, such as our external website, intranet, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Assisting in the day-to-day oversight of our company store and client appreciation programs, reviewing inventory, scheduling sales promotions, and answering colleague questions.
Generating QR codes and icons for deliverables and internal platforms.
Handling internal design needs, such as event slides for office TVs.
Formatting various slide decks and one-pagers.
Coordinating with the administrative professionals team to create letterhead for new offices.
Approximately 25% of this individual's time will be spent supporting internal CAPTRUST events, as well as the involvement of our advisors and subject matter experts in external conferences and webinars. This person will be responsible for helping the Senior Specialist of Event Support with:
Setting up and running webinar events in both Microsoft Teams and ON24.
Shepherding presentation materials through creation and compliance approval.
Ordering and tracking the delivery and return of booth exhibit materials, such as tablecloths, banner stands, and swag items.
Scheduling prep calls and tech checks.
Approximately 25% of this individual's time will be spent supporting our resource awareness efforts and messaging for colleagues. This includes assisting our Senior Specialist of Internal Communications with:
Guiding departments/teams on how best to engage with our colleagues given the different media we have available.
Handling ad hoc and routine updates to our intranet.
Posting daily articles and weekly newsletters.
The remaining time will be spent supporting team members with other sundry projects and tasks, overseeing marketing department resources and ensuring items are organized, deduplicated, and current. This includes both electronic and physical resources, such as our:
Marketing Department folders on Sharepoint.
Calendars and forms in our project management platform, Asana.
Storage areas at headquarters, such as P2 and the marketing room.
Managing mass mailing lists like those for our holiday card mailer and VESTED Magazine.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Marketing; strong understanding of key design principles.
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, as well as Canva.
Experience with project management systems like Asana.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Desired Skills
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Experience with effective information design, being able to make the complex simple and translate the needs of thought leaders.
