The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior environmental professional for the Environmental Directorate, a directorate of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), a Primary Subordinate Unit (PSU).
Duties
As an environmental professional, provides professional environmental technical expertise and program support to the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Installations, Environment and Logistics (SAF/IE), Headquarters Air Force (HAF) A7C, Environmental Restoration and Quality Program Offices, Major Commands (MAJCOMs), Regional Support Teams (RSTs), Installation Support Teams (ISTs), and installation staff.
Provides consultation and advisory services to leadership and customers.
Communicates critical issues to SAF/IE, HAF A7C, MAJCOM, RST/IST staff members, serviced installations, and superiors.
Provides direction to a team of environmental professionals. As a senior member, the incumbent provides specific direction regarding member assignments, project team direction, work prioritization, and scheduling to execute specific environmental programs.

U.S. Citizenship is required
Male must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at: https://afciviliancareers.com/regulatory/

Relocation costs or other incentives may be available and considered by the organization.
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
This position may require drug testing and the candidate may be subject to passing a drug test upon selection.
Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position.
Selectee may be required to serve a probationary or trial period.
The employee must, within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually, thereafter, file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report. Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
All federal employees are required to have direct deposit.
This announcement may result in a 120-day register that may be used to fill like vacancies for 120 days after the closing date. Applicants may be referred for consideration as vacancies occur.
