Senior Communications & Messaging Lead (Legacy Migration / Public Sector)
Location:
Austin, Texas (100% Onsite)

Senior Communications professional with 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level strategy and execution. Specialized in leading communications for large-scale IT transformations, legacy migrations, and organizational change within public sector/government environments.
Detailed Requirements
12+ Years: Communication Management, strategy design, and execution for large organizations.
Environment: Experience in Government/Public Sector environments and IT-centric organizations.
Specialization: Leading messaging for Legacy Migration initiatives and IT infrastructure changes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Key Deliverables
Strategic Planning: Implementing a roadmap for stakeholder awareness and commitment.
Content Creation: Developing emails, presentations, FAQs, talking points, and newsletters.
Liaison Services: Serving as the bridge between Executive Leadership, HR, and IT.
Monitoring: Analyzing communication effectiveness and adjusting tactics based on organizational readiness.
OCM Support: Coordinating training messaging and staff onboarding communications.
Communication Flow Comparison In a legacy migration of this scale, the lead must manage communication across three distinct tiers:
Strategic: Executive briefings and board-level status updates.
Operational: IT and HR process changes, system downtime alerts, and migration milestones.
Cultural: Town halls and feedback loops to manage "change fatigue" among staff.
