We’re seeking a Retention Marketing Specialist to spearhead end-to-end execution and success of client email and SMS programs, including campaign and flow planning, build, QA, deployment, optimization, and performance tracking.
The Retention Marketing Specialist owns day-to-day lifecycle execution across assigned accounts using data-driven insights to lead the creative direction and messaging strategy. This role blends behavioral insight, performance-driven messaging, and audience-specific storytelling to help drive engagement, retention, and revenue.
You’ll work closely with the Senior Manager, Retention Marketing to define campaign narratives, segmentation strategies, and A/B test plans — ensuring our lifecycle campaigns are not only creative, but smart, personalized, and results-oriented.
Responsibilities Campaign & Flow Management
Own end-to-end lifecycle execution across email and SMS for assigned client accounts; Plan, build, QA, launch and optimize all campaigns and automated flows.
Manage campaign and flow calendars to ensure on-time delivery, proper sequencing and suppression – aligning with cross-channel marketing initiatives as required.
Monitor live sends and automations to ensure technical accuracy and performance stability, while maintaining flow logic, triggers, timing, and messaging cadence.
Define email and SMS messaging frameworks aligned with each stage of the customer journey, developing segmentation-based content strategies that speak to distinct needs.
Shape content briefs for internal and external copy/design resources, ensuring brand consistency in all assets.
Partner with cross-channel teams to identify new segment opportunities, integrating these insights into new creative iterations and improvements for testing.
Develop and execute testing plans, including but not limited to subject lines, CTAs, creative and content variants, sending times, etc.
Administration
Oversee day-to-day communications with accounts, including: managing incoming requests, gaining internal/external approvals as outlined,
Manage approvals for all final assets, gaining internal/external approvals as outlined
Manage templates for consistency, clarity, and conversion best practices
Maintain copy banks, brand guidelines, and content frameworks for recurring use
Support documentation of creative testing learnings and message optimization standards
Tools You’ll Use

Shopify, Figma, Google Docs, AI (ChatGPT, Glean)
GA4, Looker Studio, or other reporting tools
Qualifications
Have 3–5+ years in lifecycle marketing, creative direction, or content strategy
Prior work in ecommerce, SaaS or fast-moving digital lifecycle programs
Think like a copywriter, plan like a strategist, and execute with performance in min
Understand how tone, timing, and segmentation impact message effectiveness
Love collaboration with creative teams, analysts, and campaign leads
Stay curious about what drives customer behavior — and how to speak to it
Compensation

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM EST
