Position Summary The Category Analyst at IMA Foodservice provides project management, category analytics, coordination, and support to the Category Manager and the Director of Category Management in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and initiatives.
Responsibilities Business Planning Process:
Project management of the Business Planning Process for assigned category to include maintenance of master documents, tracking of all important dates and reporting delays or issues to appropriate stakeholders.
Compile data from multiple sources through the Business Planning process.
Analyze business data, interpret spreadsheets and provide summaries specifically utilizing Excel, Power Point and Email.
Own SOP process and procedure to include development, housing and other relevant details for the category management department.
Coordinate recurring Core Team calls agendas and communications.
Manage the supplier database, conduct regular audits for data integrity.
Update SharePoint records and documentation.
Participate in category specific product evaluations.
Develop category/product knowledge and expertise to effectively support the category unit.
Provide score carding and category analytics using all available tools.
Respond to all communications in a timely and professional manner.
Effectively manage collection of funds owed to IMA by suppliers or other outside parties.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent distribution/food service supply chain experience required
Must possess a minimum of 2 years of analytical experience, preferably in a foodservice distribution environment
Advance skills in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills
Exceptional attention to detail, time management and critical thinking
Able to perform all duties of the Category Management Specialist role
