My client located near Vernon Hills, IL is looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to grow market share across a defined packaged oleochemical portfolio. This is a
player-coach
role combining direct selling, sales process leadership, and product support. You’ll carry your own book of business while driving disciplined execution of the sales process and CRM standards. This role is for someone who leads from the front—proactive, detail-driven, and relentless about results. What You’ll Do
Drive consistent execution of the sales process; ensure strong CRM discipline and clean, accurate pipelines. Lead weekly sales cadence activities including pipeline reviews, forecasting, and deal strategy. Own and grow a defined set of accounts and target customers. Build pipeline through outbound prospecting and strategic account penetration. Manage pricing and negotiations, balancing competitiveness with margin. Close deals, retain customers, and expand existing relationships. Support product growth initiatives including positioning, target segments, competitive insight, and new product launches. Identify portfolio gaps and opportunities to increase market share. Seniority level
