District Sales Manager - East Coast
Join Conductix‑Wampfler as a District Sales Manager to own and grow our East Coast territory. This fully remote, field‑based role is ideal for someone who thrives on customer engagement, problem‑solving, and building long‑term partnerships.
What You’ll Do
Manage and grow a defined East Coast territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, and end users.
Travel throughout the territory (driving required) for in‑person customer visits.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations and support corporate customer meetings.
Represent Conductix at trade shows and industry events.
Resolve customer issues and support order execution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field.
Proven success in industrial or technical outside sales.
Experience with end users, OEMs, or industrial distributors.
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical topics.
Physical ability for demanding field visits (walking, climbing, carrying demo kits).
Adaptability and resilience when navigating customer issues or shifting priorities.
Experience using CRMs and modern sales tools.
Travel & Location
Up to 60% travel, including day travel within the territory and occasional overnights, weekends, and corporate travel.
Fully remote (work‑from‑home) work model; candidates must live within the East Coast district in North Carolina, preferably Charlotte or the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro, Winston‑Salem, High Point).
Responsibilities (Detailed)
Territory Sales Management:
Develop and execute the territory sales plan in alignment with company goals; manage and grow existing accounts and pursue new opportunities.
Sales Planning & Forecasting:
Prepare annual sales forecasts and budgets for the territory, providing detailed, well‑thought‑out projections based on pipeline and OEM feedback.
Customer Engagement & Development:
Conduct in‑person visits, deliver on‑site presentations and demos, and represent the company at trade shows and events.
Customer Retention:
Serve as the primary client representative, maintaining strong relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and resolving issues promptly.
CRM Documentation:
Record and report sales activities using Navpoint CRM, updating contact information, trip reports, and project details.
Compliance & Core Values:
Uphold quality, health and safety policies and the company’s core values of caring, adding value, and teamwork.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; independent decision making.

Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for frequent travel.
Ability to navigate long‑distance driving between customer sites and industrial facilities.
Comfortable operating in manufacturing, port, and industrial environments while carrying demo tools with proper PPE.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field.
At least three years of experience in a sales position or similar customer‑facing role.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, ratios, and percentages in various units.
Understanding of geometry and measuring techniques is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret graphs in Excel or similar software.
Physical Demands & Work Environment The role requires regular walking, climbing ladders, carrying demo equipment, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Work occurs in both home office and industrial field environments with variable weather and noise levels. Proper PPE is required in field settings.
