The Optimization Strategist is responsible for developing customer relationships that promote retention, loyalty, and growth for both parties by exceeding clients’ e-commerce performance goals with their existing budgets across all channels. The strategist works as a marketing generalist on multiple client accounts and is responsible for client communication, the prioritization of tasks, and working with team members to develop digital strategies for the achievement of performance goals. They work closely with customers to ensure they are satisfied with the services they receive and help identify new opportunities for the client to grow their business within the resources they have to work with.
Requirements for Position
Deep understanding of the foundations of digital marketing (Website CRO, e-commerce, b2b lead generation, and other marketplace selling channels, Paid Search & Paid Social) with some hands‑on experience running ads on Google Ads and/or Facebook.
A curiosity to review data and analytics to find new trends and opportunities.
Demonstrated track record in leading a team through aggressively growing a brand or business.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.
Flourishes in a high‑growth environment and adapts quickly to change.
Embraces a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
A quick learner, open to feedback and advice, able to follow directions with a curiosity in improving processes to achieve the same result more efficiently.
Must be a team player (not just a buzzword).
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary interface with clients who have a total billing of $500,000 or more annually.
Coordinate and oversee all aspects of their clients’ accounts by working closely with the Implementation Team to communicate client and/or account priorities, ensure proper and timely execution of account activities, and problem‑solve roadblocks in successfully executing clients' digital marketing goals.
Manage client relationships by leading monthly meetings/calls, recommending marketing campaigns to grow brand sales/engagement, analyzing their data, and assisting with setting/meeting their annual program goals.
Reviewing and providing insights based on reports from tools such as Google Analytics, Amazon Seller Central, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Walmart Seller Center, and other relevant sources in preparation for client presentations, as well as to find new opportunities for growth and improvement.
Monitor campaign performance against clients’ objectives, and maintain strong communication with the rest of the implementation team to make optimization recommendations as necessary.
Proactively anticipate and understand the client’s needs to identify and uncover potential upsell opportunities.
