What You’ll Do Strategic Planning (30%)
Use your understanding of the media planning process to support the Senior Strategist and Supervisor across a multitude of client deliverables.
Create, format, and update flowcharts; ensure the Assistant’s output is accurate.
Collaborate on the development of POVs for new media opportunities.
Utilize consumer research and competitive intelligence tools (MRI, Cadence, AdIntel) to identify key trends and insights.
Continue to strengthen your understanding of media strategy and applications.
Account Management (30%)
Prepare and distribute traffic instructions, partner with the Traffic team to track deadlines and deliverables, and respond to inquiries appropriately.
Oversee the billing and budget maintenance process; work closely with the budget analyst when applicable.
Organize team documents and maintain timelines to ensure all client deadlines are met.
Establish frameworks and templates for presentation decks and team projects.
Build and foster open communication with clients and media partners, serving as the primary HMI contact.
Internal Relationship Management (20%)
Collaborate with the Senior Strategist and Supervisor to identify problems and recommend solutions.
Keep the Senior Strategist and Supervisor updated on the status and timing of deliverables.
Engage and interact with other Horizon departments (Investments, Traffic, Operations).
Apply knowledge of clients’ specific business and industry to enhance and further relationships.
Mentorship (20%)
Guide the development of the Assistant Strategist, educating them on Horizon’s culture, the media industry, and relevant trends.
Delegate and manage the Assistant’s daily tasks, reviewing all finalized work for internal or client distribution.
Contribute to performance reviews of the Assistant Strategist, identifying strengths and areas for growth.
Participate in the interview process for Assistant Strategist positions.

Preferred Skills & Experience
One or more years of previous media planning experience, with multiple media channels preferred.
Strong understanding of media math, terminology, and analytical tools (MRI, Nielsen).
Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the media planning process.
Client relationship management experience.
Experience developing and presenting plan presentations.
Salary Range $64,350.00 – $80,000.00
