Imperial Trading Company – Business Development Representative
Imperial Trading Company is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team in the Wholesale Trade Food industry. The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets. Success will be measured by generating new business and maintaining strong client relationships.

Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Wholesale Trade Food industry
Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
Familiarity with related software
Ability to analyze and interpret sales data
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and cold calling
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the company
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies to increase revenue and market share
Provide regular reports on sales activities and progress toward targets
Coordinate and execute sales strategies for assigned accounts to attain growth and profitability objectives
Maintain proficiency with current computer technology and all hardware and software
Resolve customer issues and opportunities in a timely manner
Create and implement business development initiatives within assigned accounts
Assist the credit department with collections and accounts receivable retail issues
Present new products, programs and promotions consistently with company objectives
Provide accurate sales forecasting and monitor account sales and profit purchase compliance
Analyze under‑performing accounts and develop corrective actions
Generate new business leads, identify target accounts, and establish relationships to attain new business
Prepare written analysis of potential accounts for profitability and secure new business within financial guidelines
Research competitive marketplace to identify advantages and communicate new services required to acquire business
Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and opportunities related to new accounts
Travel and meet outside company premises as required
Physical Demands The physical demands of this job include light physical activity and occasional strenuous activities. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit, talk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Required vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment The work environment may involve outdoor weather conditions and wet, humid conditions. Noise level is moderate.
