About the Position As a
Business Development Manager for National Accounts
in the Sales team, you will help drive our national key account program in both retail and e‑commerce sales channels. You will play a key role in the organization’s growth strategy by identifying, targeting, and securing new clients in the consumer products retail industry. This position builds influential relationships with assigned target accounts to identify new business opportunities, present product portfolios, aggressively pursue placement of all newly introduced products, negotiate contracts, and achieve strategic sales, service, and end‑user support objectives as assigned.
Your Main Responsibilities
Identify key national retailers in the CPG industry who carry RV aftermarket products
Develop a sales plan to target, approach, and present to those accounts securing new sales opportunities for the company
Coordinate with key stakeholders to develop a pricing program, product selection, packaging, and contract terms that deliver consistent profit margin
Achieve strategic KPIs, including, but not limited to, sales market share, margin, program promotion, product training, and service development
Become technically proficient in all product categories and an expert in sales critical feature‑benefits
Maintain awareness of the market and competitive landscape to avoid retail conflicts that compromise Dometic
Utilize data on market provided by retailers and have a national view/interpretation of the market
Develop and deliver compelling and informative product presentations, Pre‑Season Line Reviews, In‑Season management, and Post‑Season business activities with key accounts
Work efficiently with internal staff and cross‑functional departments in support of delivering the sales plan
Work collaboratively with forecasting team on an ongoing basis to provide SKU‑level projections and forecast revisions where necessary
Rely on experience, judgment, and effective communication to plan and accomplish goals; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Deliver training to customers (retailers and key stakeholders) to support new product launches, product‑category education, and e‑commerce utilization
Engage with customer service and other functional areas as necessary to address account issues requiring escalation and to support efforts to keep accounts in good standing
Build relationships with customers (dealers and key stakeholders) through participation in industry events where relevant
Ensure the success of new accounts by staying engaged through regular communication with the client, reporting back on KPIs, and leading business reviews
Perform other duties as assigned

Suitable Background
Post‑secondary degree in business (marketing, sales, or related discipline) or 5 years of commensurate experience
3–5 years of sales experience selling consumer products to national retail accounts
Ability to work with mathematical concepts in the development of forecasts, budgets, and pricing
Ability to travel 10–30% of the time
Proficient with MS Excel and willing to learn new software/systems as introduced

Experience building sales channels from scratch and demonstrating entrepreneurial drive
Experience securing new business and managing sales efforts with key national accounts
Experience working with major retailers within the CPG channel
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize activities
Strong communicator, both verbal and written
Self‑starter who works well independently
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of RVs and, and/or experience RVing would be considered an asset
