The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, you will serve as the face of a well‑established, reputable company that provides comprehensive support and services to our members. This individual is often the first line of communication between Procure Analytics and prospective members and is the person responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying opportunities for the sales organization to generate new business. This role lays the foundation for a successful sales career with Procure Analytics. Secure meetings with the right people, at the right place, at the right time to create high‑quality opportunities for the Partner Development & Member Development teams.
The focus each day for our BDR is getting connected with decision makers, extending the conversation, and securing meetings for our Partner Development & Member Development teams.
Use the internal sales tools and resources to execute a high‑touch sales flow on member leads.
Make a minimum of 50‑75 cold calls per day to sales leads to gauge interest and qualify for an overview meeting.
Initiate contact with prospects through a multi‑channel outbound prospecting strategy using phone calls, e‑mails, and other lead generation sources.
Attend meetings you’ve scheduled and conduct routine check‑ins with the Partner Development & Member Development team to receive feedback on the opportunities you created.
Execute a follow‑up strategy on leads that were not interested but may be in the future or were interested but did not initially agree to a meeting.
Develop new sales strategies based on personal successes and failures and share what’s working with your peers.
Requirements Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development.
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement a big plus.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong Communication Skills – Ability to clearly present ideas and engage with clients.
Sales & Prospecting Skills – Experience with cold calling, email outreach, and social selling.
Lead Qualification – Ability to assess potential clients and determine if they are a good fit.
CRM Experience – Familiarity with tools like Salesforce or other CRMs.
Negotiation & Persuasion – Ability to influence potential customers and book meetings.
Resilience & Adaptability – Comfort in handling rejection and adapting sales strategies.
Time Management – Efficiently managing outreach and follow‑ups.
Market Research – Ability to analyze industry trends and identify potential opportunities.
Meticulous and detail‑oriented – Keen eye for accuracy and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Research and identify new business opportunities.
