Role Overview
- Senior individual contributor role focused on new business acquisition across air and ocean freight
- Geographic focus on New York, New Jersey, and the wider Northeast
- Authority to commercialise a book of relationships and pre-existing customer connections, where contractually permitted
- Direct ownership of pipeline development, account conversion, and sustainable revenue growth
Key Responsibilities
- Win new air and ocean freight business across import and export markets
- Convert existing industry relationships into new customer accounts
- Engage decision-makers across procurement, supply chain, and logistics leadership
- Develop and execute a structured new business sales strategy aligned with margin and yield expectations
- Work closely with operations to ensure service reliability, client retention, and long-term account value
Required Experience
- Proven track record in air and ocean freight sales within a freight forwarding or international logistics environment
- Demonstrated success winning new business in the New York / Northeast market
- Established book of relationships and the ability to attract new accounts
- Strong understanding of international freight pricing, margins, and commercial negotiations
- Hunter profile with the credibility to operate independently at senior level
