A mid-size international freight forwarder is expanding its U.S. presence and seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead operations and commercial growth in Houston. This role offers full ownership of branch performance, including P&L management, team leadership, and strategic sales development, with the backing of a forwarder investing heavily in the Gulf Coast region.

The Opportunity

As Branch Manager, you will take charge of a growing Houston operation with a strong foundation in air freight, ocean freight (FCL/LCL), trucking, and customs brokerage. You will lead a team covering both sales and operations, driving profitability and service delivery across diverse trade lanes including Transpacific, Transatlantic, and Latin America. With authority to shape local strategy and build market share, this is a high-impact leadership opportunity in one of the most competitive logistics markets in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Houston branch with full P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting
• Manage and develop teams across sales, operations, and customer service
• Drive new business growth while supporting existing accounts across air, ocean, and customs brokerage
• Ensure operational excellence, compliance with CBP, FMC, TSA, and CTPAT requirements, and adherence to global standards
• Partner with senior leadership to align local strategy with company-wide objectives
• Mentor, train, and retain top talent to build a high-performance branch culture

What You Bring

• 7+ years of freight forwarding experience, including leadership at branch or departmental level
• Proven ability to manage a P&L, drive GP growth, and deliver sustainable profitability
• Strong commercial background with ability to support sales and lead client engagements
• Operational expertise across air import/export, ocean import/export, trucking, and customs clearance
• Familiarity with CargoWise or similar forwarding platforms
• Leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
