Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Freight Broker – DOD‑SDDC, based in Monroe, NC. The professional we are looking for has experience within the Government sector, with the appropriate contacts to immediately grow this brokerage for us. The role involves managing freight brokerage operations, coordinating shipping logistics, managing dispatching tasks, and building strong relationships with customers and carriers. Responsibilities include account management, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining high‑quality customer service, and securing new opportunities to grow the business.
Qualifications
Skills in DOD‑SDDC Freight Brokerage and managing transportation services and logistics effectively.
Strong expertise in Customer Service for creating positive client experiences and resolving issues efficiently.
Proficiency in Dispatching to coordinate shipments and ensure efficient communication with drivers and carriers.
Experience in Account Management for maintaining and growing strong relationships with customers and partners.
Excellent organizational, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DOD) and Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) is a requirement.
Working knowledge of freight management systems and related software tools is beneficial.
