Recruitment Notes This position is responsible for leading the

Community Development Division

within the Department of Housing and Community Development and reports to the Assistant Director of the Office of Strategic Initiatives and Planning. Within this Division, this position provides leadership and direction to the Planning and Portfolio Management Units. The role will benefit from experience with federal, state, and local housing and community development programs, including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP), and Documentary Stamp Surtax funding. The position entails working with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development’s (HUD) Integrated Disbursement and Information Systems (IDIS.) Technical knowledge of affordable housing development to include credit underwriting, loan closing, development of related contractual development agreements, and expertise in the overall development process will bring value to this role. Pursuant to the authority in Chapter 8B of the Code of Miami-Dade County, when there is a declared state of emergency issued for any portion of Miami-Dade County, all employees of Public Housing and Community Development will be required to adhere to directives from the Mayor or the Mayor's designee to report to work and perform all duties assigned during a declared state of emergency.
