Provides assistance to the general public inquiring over the telephone and in person regarding real property or any other property in the County. Acts as office receptionist by answering all incoming calls, providing callers with information, transferring calls, and taking appropriate messages. Performs various secretarial functions such as typing, filing, data entry, answering phones, and faxing information; monitors and orders office supplies. Prepares all required forms and documents in the appropriate manner, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Receives cash, maintains record of cash receipts, makes daily deposits, and balances receipts to deposits. Receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits a variety of documents such as billing invoices, telephone messages, drafts of letters, etc. Operates a variety of equipment, which may include a computer, printer, typewriter, copier, fax machine, telephone, transcription machine, calculator, etc. Interacts and communicates with departmental supervisors and employees, County department heads and employees, realtors, attorneys, taxpayers, surveyors, appraisers, and the general public. Performs related duties as required. Typical Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year of data entry and general clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Equal Opportunity Employer
