Overview A well‑established
metrology solutions provider
is seeking a
technically skilled Sales Representative
to grow its business across the Northeast. This role is ideal for candidates with a
Field Service Engineer or Application Engineer
background, able to understand and communicate complex metrology solutions, while working closely with
distribution partners
and end users in manufacturing, quality, and engineering environments.
Responsibilities
Manage and develop relationships with
distribution and channel partners
across the territory
Act as a
technical sales resource , leveraging FSE/AE experience to support product selection, applications, and problem‑solving
Conduct technical sales calls, on‑site evaluations, and product demonstrations
Translate customer measurement and quality requirements into appropriate metrology solutions
Deliver technical training and support to distributor sales teams
Drive new business through a channel‑led sales model while supporting key end‑user accounts
Collaborate with internal engineering, applications, and service teams
Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through close
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity reporting
Qualifications
3+ years of B2B sales experience in metrology, measurement, or industrial markets
Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Application Engineer
Strong technical understanding of precision measurement tools and quality systemsProven experience selling through
distribution or channel partners
Ability to engage confidently with engineers, quality managers, and technical buyers
Comfortable discussing specifications, tolerances, and applications
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
Self‑motivated, organized, and effective in a remote, territory‑based role
Must reside in
New England or New York
Competitive base salary plus commission
Mileage or travel reimbursement
