Job Description
Responsibilities
Analyze performance data and communicate insights that enable key stakeholders to take informed actions that drive business results
Create, distribute, and/or present standardized sales performance reports for relevant KPIs
Work closely and proactively with Sales to develop a strong fact-based selling relationship with the retailer
Partner with Marketing and Merchandising teams by providing data-based inputs into how to optimize marketing spend and merchandising solutions
Develop demand forecasts based on a variety of inputs for use by Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Operations & Logistics, and Finance
Provide data management, analysis, and reporting on purchase orders (POs)
Develop replenishment logic for driving profitable revenue growth
Assist in the development of annual operating plan sales forecasts by category and/or product format
Provide quarterly market size, trend, and share reports for our e-Commerce business; collaborate with Insights & Analytics (I&A) team to integrate business results into broader report on industry trends
Remain up-to-date on new technologies, analytical methodologies, and tools being used in eCommerce
Ensure ecommerce retail shelf data (e.g., share of voice, share of shelf) and associated analytics are reliably provided to the business to act upon
Contribute to a continuous learning agenda, providing research/testing methodology recommendations for generating new insights as well as analyzing and reporting out on results
Monitor and report on changes in competitor activities (e.g., marketing investment changes, product assortment changes, etc.)
Conduct reporting and analysis for chargebacks and fines issued by retailers, and work with Accounting to reconcile any discrepancies
Assist the Director in managing 3rd party vendor relationships
Perform ad hoc analyses as requested
Experience Required
A minimum of 3+ years experience applying quantitative methods to solve business problems
3+ years of analytical programming experience in R, Python, SQL, or other languages is strongly desired
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel is required
1+ years of experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tool
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong quantitative skills and the ability to apply statistical/data analysis techniques
Strong programming skills including R, Python, SQL, etc.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Accuracy and attention to detail
Capable of auditing large data sets for accuracy and completeness
Ability to extract, compile, combine, and manipulate data from many different sources
Knowledge of a P&L statement and ability to understand key drivers
Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
Ability to interact with both internal clients and external clients (retailers)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, always changing environment
Ability to handle a wide variety of analytical projects concurrently, and plan / prioritize work as needed
Education Required
Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, operations research, applied math, engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in above disciplines.
