Overview
Original X Productions (OGX) operates worldwide location-based entertainment experiences. OGX is seeking a Team Lead for Café Operations at the NYC Flagship location. The Café Team Lead will be the front-line supervisor for daily oversight, training, and development of team members, and will deliver an exceptional Guest Experience. They will serve as the Leader on Duty (LOD) for the retail café and demonstrate leadership while working as part of a team to achieve goals. This is a part-time position with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and sound judgment to the Café Services team to benefit the company
Implement operations policies, processes, procedures, and standards for the café and overall food/beverage department
Train and develop a world-class retail café operations team
Help define and embed the team culture within café operations
Assist in establishing basic personnel standards for the café and overall food/beverage department
Participate in the LOD (Leader on Duty) retail café rotation
Assess team effectiveness, provide feedback to management, and enforce disciplinary actions per the employee handbook and training
Oversee inventory levels and notify upper management of re-order needs to ensure smooth operation
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Must possess NYC Food Handler’s Certificate
Ability to remain in a standing, stationary position for extended periods
Ability to work a minimum of three shifts, including a weekend day
Ability to move inventory and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
Ability to move about inside the retail coffee shop space
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Your Experience
2+ years of experience in food and beverage service/industry; previous café/barista experience is a plus
High school diploma (or equivalent); some college preferred (current students welcome to apply)
One year of supervisory or management experience
