About The Role Oxygen Forensics, a global leader in digital forensics and incident-response software, is seeking a Federal Account Executive to expand our footprint across U.S. federal Civilian agencies. This is a true federal new‑business role focused on agencies running cybersecurity operations, insider threat programs, investigative missions, and digital‑forensics workflows. A separate team manages federal law enforcement; this role is dedicated to Civilian missions and growth. This role has direct ownership of territory strategy, supported by internal product, proposal, and technical teams experienced in federal deployments. We are headquartered in Alexandria, VA. This is a net new focused hunter role, not an account maintenance position. You must reside in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This position is fully remote, with regular in-person engagement across the federal landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Own a Civilian federal territory with a strong emphasis on net-new business and strategic expansion. Primary focus on civilian agencies such as DHS components, HHS, Treasury, and other non law enforcement federal organizations.

Build relationships with program offices, technical teams, contracting officers, procurement staff, and mission stakeholders.

Develop new opportunities and advance existing accounts through direct outreach and agency engagement.

Lead the full federal sales cycle: prospecting, shaping requirements, solution positioning, pricing, proposal development, negotiation, and close.

Prepare compliant and competitive responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.

Navigate federal procurement pathways including SEWP, GSA, BPAs, IDIQs, and agency-specific vehicles.

Manage accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM hygiene.

Partner with internal teams across product, engineering, support, and fulfillment to ensure smooth deployments.

Leverage channel partners when appropriate while retaining primary ownership of customer relationships.

Qualifications

At least five years of direct federal sales experience in software, cybersecurity, digital forensics, or technical solutions.

Demonstrated success selling into Civilian agencies, with verifiable wins, procurement paths, and contract values.

Strong understanding of federal acquisition cycles, budget structures, and decision‑making processes.

Ability to communicate technical and operational value clearly.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal development and presentations.

Strong pipeline discipline and forecasting accuracy.

Familiarity with FAR principles and federal contracting practices.

Residency in the Washington, D.C. metro area is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling into federal cybersecurity, insider threat, IT, DFIR, or internal investigative teams.

Existing relationships inside Civilian agencies. Security Clearances welcome.

Experience working with SEWP or other major IT contract vehicles.

Location: Remote; must reside in the DC metro region.

Compensation: Competitive base salary with uncapped commission and accelerators for new business.
