Wire Mesh Corporation is seeking an
ESM Outside Sales Representative , responsible for managing and expanding steel sales for strategic and high-level clients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers through regular communication, including face-to-face meetings, calls, and emails. Act as the primary point of contact to address customer needs, inquiries, and concerns.
Identify new sales opportunities within the assigned region, expanding the customer base and promoting WMC’s product offerings. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Meet or exceed sales targets and commercial KPIs, including revenue, shipment goals, and profitability.
Prepare and present sales reports to the Sales & Engineering Manager, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Work closely with WMC’s ESM divisions, including inside and outside sales representatives, to align sales efforts, share insights, and achieve revenue and shipment goals.
Collaborate with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Maintain strategic commercial relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships. Proactively address customer challenges and offer solutions aligned with company capabilities and goals.
Develop and execute regional sales plans and forecasts based on market analysis, customer needs, and historical sales data. Adjust strategies as needed to achieve sales objectives.
Travel regularly to meet customers in person, strengthen relationships, and gain firsthand insight into customer requirements and expectations. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Stay updated on WMC’s product offerings, technical specifications, and industry standards. Provide product training and support to customers, ensuring they understand product value and applications.
Lead contract negotiations with customers, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the client while adhering to company guidelines and policies.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
At least 2 years of sales or detailing experience in the metals industry.
Reside in the Midwestern U.S. or be willing to relocate.
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation, customer service, phone handling, and problem-solving skills.
Solid business acumen and judgment.
Sales-driven mindset, self-starter, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Residing in the Midwestern U.S. or availability to relocate there.
