Our associates celebrate lives. We celebrate our associates. The Sales Manager is responsible for promoting sales growth by ensuring the sales team meets the location’s sales goals. The Sales Manager is a result-oriented manager who will recruit, train and develop a top-notch sales force. He or she would train Pre-Arrangement Advisor to conduct virtual and in-home presentations successfully. The ideal manager would have proven experience in One-Call-Close.
Job Responsibilities
Develop, coach, mentor, and support a team of Pre-Arrangement Advisor (PAA) sales activities to ensure monthly sales objectives are met and exceeded.
Recruit, train, develop, and motivate top sales talent to achieve and exceed sales goals
Assist the PAAs and sales process by calling leads, setting appointments, and contributing to sales targets for the benefits of the office as needed to ensure monthly goals are met
Act as a resource to PAAs in support of sales opportunities, proposals, closing techniques, marketing plans, and community relations to increase sales
Monitor and manage sales performance, leads, conversion ratios, and compliance with Company policies of all ISRs
Design and recommend sales strategies, target segments, promotions, and programs based on market and competitive activity to increase market share
Coach and mentor PAAs on a variety of field sales concepts, techniques, practices, and procedures (in-home sales, seminar based sales, self-lead generation, etc.)
Coordinate and lead regularly scheduled meetings to ensure sales team is highly motivated, on target with sales goals, and market growth opportunities
Comply with the Funeral Industry (Cremation) State and Federal Laws.
Other responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements Education
Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years equivalent managerial experience required, field sales preferred.
Special License as needed
Certification/License
Funeral Director License only in specific states.
Experience
At least 2 years of managerial experience or 5 years of industry experience
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and time management skills
Ability to multitask in a self-directed, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong business acumen and knowledge of sales techniques required
Demonstrated problem solving, negotiation, coaching, mentoring, and people management skills
Proven ability to communicate, present, and credibly influence team to meet and exceed sales objectives
High level of compassion and integrity
Problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and set priorities
Must understand how to analyze financial reports to determine actions necessary to maintain or improve the location’s performance.

Work Environment
Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
Limited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling required
Business Professional Dress is required when in contact with families.
Work Postures
Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day
Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently
Physical Demands
Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage
Move, push and pull up to 25 lbs.
Work Hours
Operations hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. (Business hours may vary per location and state)
Travel up to 10%
