As B2B Sales Manager, you'll build and lead a team of Benefits Advisors while driving agency growth. This role combines proven sales leadership with team development – recruit and train advisors, coach them to production goals, and earn override income as your team produces. Proven B2B sales management experience required. You must demonstrate ability to recruit, train, and develop producers while maintaining your own sales activity during team building phase. Compensation structure combines override commissions on team production, personal sales commissions, and performance‑based bonuses tied to team development and quarterly sales targets.
Responsibilities
Recruit and build
a team of Benefits Advisors through strategic sourcing, interviewing, and selection
Train and develop
team members through field training, joint sales calls, and hands‑on mentorship on prospecting, presentations, and closing techniques
Guide team performance
with weekly one‑on‑ones focused on activity metrics, pipeline management, and achieving production goals
Maintain personal production
during team‑building phase, leveraging your professional network to close initial deals
Manage team accountability
through activity tracking, performance reviews, and professional development plans
Lead team development
sessions on sales skills, product knowledge, and market strategies
Build and maintain
responsibility for your team's collective book of business and client relationships
Qualifications
3-5+ years B2B sales experience
with documented track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets
2+ years recruiting, training, or managing sales teams
with proven ability to develop high performers
Professional network or warm market
to leverage for initial sales success while building your team
Strong leadership abilities
– development, motivation, accountability management, and conflict resolution
Self‑motivated, enterprising mindset
with comfort in commission‑based compensation tied to team performance
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
for client meetings and field training
Commitment to licensing within 15 days
Preferred:
Active Texas Life & Health Insurance License, experience in employee benefits/insurance/financial services, or previous sales management
Bonus:
Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly valued
Compensation Compensation:
$120,000 – $180,000 per year
