Outside Sales Engineer Position Summary We’re seeking a motivated and technically skilled Outside Sales Engineer to join a dynamic industrial‑equipment firm. In this role you’ll develop new business, manage existing customer relationships, and grow sales of engineered systems and service offerings. The successful candidate will represent industry‑leading solutions related to steam generation, heat transfer, and water purification, working closely with contractors, engineering firms, and end‑users.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial and commercial markets.

Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers.

Conduct site visits, facility walk‑throughs, and technical sales presentations.

Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and project specifications.

Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and service partners to manage project execution.

Stay abreast of manufacturer product offerings and application solutions.

Provide post‑sale support and service including startup coordination, technical assistance, and ongoing service.

Travel throughout the assigned territory to develop accounts and uncover opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (PE license or willingness to pursue preferred).

Minimum of 3 years of sales or engineering experience in a technical or industrial environment.

Strong understanding of industrial processes (steam systems, heat exchangers, water treatment, or related equipment) is a plus.

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Self‑motivated, highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 30-40%).
