Position Overview We are seeking a driven, relationship‑focused Dealer Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of wholesale and dealer partners. This role is responsible for developing long‑term partnerships, expanding account revenue, and supporting dealer success through consistent communication, proactive engagement, and business development.
This position is ideal for someone who values relationship building, is motivated by results‑driven compensation, and enjoys managing accounts over time rather than transactional selling.
Core Responsibilities
Own and manage a defined portfolio of dealer and wholesale accounts
Develop trusted relationships that support long‑term account growth and retention
Identify opportunities to expand product adoption and increase account revenue
Business Development
Prospect and onboard new dealer and wholesale partners nationwide
Grow assigned territory and portfolio through disciplined outreach and follow‑up
Dealer Communication and Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
Maintain frequent, proactive communication with dealers, with a strong emphasis on phone‑based engagement
Use email and CRM tools to support and document conversations, not replace direct communication
Conduct occasional in‑person dealer visits and attend select trade shows to strengthen relationships and uncover opportunities
Prepare quotes and assist dealers with product selection and ordering
Provide timely responses to dealer inquiries and support needs
Order & Account Management
Enter orders, process payments, and maintain accurate account records
Ensure CRM data remains current and reflective of account activity
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Track account performance and portfolio health
Provide regular updates on account activity, growth trends, and sales initiatives
Qualifications
Experience in account management, dealer or wholesale sales, or business development preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a relationship‑first mindset
Comfortable managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
Self‑motivated, organized, and accountable for results
Willingness to travel occasionally for dealer visits and trade shows
Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Spiro preferred)
Compensation & Growth This role offers a competitive hourly base with monthly commission opportunities tied to account growth, new dealer acquisition, and portfolio performance. High performers can significantly increase total compensation through consistent results and long‑term account development.
