Position: Corporate & Individual Giving Manager
The Children’s Place in Kansas City is now hiring for the full-time position of Corporate & Individual Giving Manager within the development department.
Do you love connecting with donors and making a difference for young children? The Children’s Place is seeking a dedicated Corporate & Individual Giving Manager to join our development team to raise funds to support our misison. Our mission
is to help children and families heal from life’s deepest hurts. We work to restore childhood. We tirelessly pursue, find and celebrate healing for young children in our community who have faced trauma, enabling children to lead happy, healthy, hopeful lives. Focused on serving the mental health needs of children ages eight and younger, for more than 45 years The Children’s Place has filled a unique niche in the health and human services landscape. Recognized nationally as a leader in the early education mental health field, The Children’s Place uses the highest level of treatment within a hopeful, safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. We are proud that several of our team members have worked at The Children’s Place for decades, including both clinicians and support staff. Our team gathers frequently for community potlucks, celebratory happy hours, and other events throughout the year. Develop and implement strategies for annual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and planned giving. • Build and manage a donor pipeline through research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. • Collaborate with leadership and committees to increase philanthropic revenue and deepen donor engagement. • Serve as liaison to the former auxiliary board members, keeping them connected to our mission. What We’re Looking For
Experience: 3–5 years of fundraising experience, including donor cultivation and stewardship. Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field (Master’s preferred; CFRE a plus). Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in Raisers Edge and MS Office, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
