Who We Are
Ready to make a real impact in cybersecurity? At Critical Start, we’re not just protecting organizations; we’re redefining how it’s done. We’re a team united by an inspiring purpose: to stop breaches, simplify security, and shape the future of cyber defence. If you’re passionate about cutting‑edge technology, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want your work to truly matter, you’ve found your home.
We deliver 24/7 AI‑accelerated, human‑validated detection, investigation, and response across IT and OT. This means we cut through the noise, investigate real threats, and take trusted, SLA‑backed action—powered by the brightest minds and the latest AI. Since 2012, we’ve helped organisations outpace evolving attacks with faster response, fewer escalations, and measurable risk reduction.
Innovation isn’t just a buzzword here; it’s our DNA. We pioneered the first MOBILESOC app for on‑the‑go detection and response, infused AI into automated alert resolution to eliminate noise, and slashed investigation time by an astounding 99.3%. From AI‑assisted triage to analyst copilots that elevate human expertise, we combine machine intelligence with human judgement to deliver outcomes our customers trust.
Critical Start is the place for you if you want to build the future of cybersecurity with a high‑trust, high‑impact team where your ideas are amplified by AI and valued by colleagues and customers alike.
Who You Are You are a highly motivated, curious, and proactive Business Development Representative (BDR) who plays a central role in accelerating revenue. You blend classic outbound prospecting skills with modern AI‑driven workflow automation to generate new business opportunities across your assigned territory and target accounts.
You’re comfortable working at the intersection of Marketing, Sales, Partners, and Operations. You understand how to prioritise accounts using intent, behaviour, and data signals. You thrive in a fast‑moving environment where you own your daily workflow, identify opportunities independently, and consistently create qualified sales meetings.
The ideal candidate is energized by pipeline creation and high‑volume outbound outreach, balancing strategic account penetration with consistent meeting‑request cadences. You leverage AI tools for research, personalisation, content creation, and productivity, and collaborate closely with Demand Generation Associates to coordinate campaigns, event follow‑up, and outbound execution. You proactively seek opportunities to optimise workflows, automate repeatable tasks, and improve speed‑to‑lead.
This is an ideal role for someone who wants to contribute to a fast‑growing cybersecurity company and grow quickly into more senior sales or marketing roles.
What You Will Be Doing?
Execute high‑quality outbound sequences using email, calls, social, and event‑based outreach to generate meetings and sales‑qualified opportunities.
Own 100 % of follow‑up for all inbound and event leads with speed and precision, meeting SLA expectations.
Run a mix of account penetration cadences and meeting‑request cadences aligned to quarterly goals.
Personalise outreach using AI‑generated insights, summaries, talk tracks, and message variations tailored to persona, industry, and buyer triggers.
Partner with Demand Generation Associates to co‑build and execute outreach around events, webinars, campaigns, and competitive takeout plays.
Work with Account Executives to identify target accounts, build outbound territory plans, and review weekly account engagement.
Share prospect and market insights with Marketing to influence campaign direction and strengthen messaging.
Support partner‑led events and co‑marketing programmes (Microsoft, Stratascale, VARs) by driving registrations, attendance, and post‑event conversions.
Use AI for account research, persona summaries, objection handling, call preparation, and drafting first‑pass email versions.
Leverage automation and workflow tools to streamline repetitive tasks, maintain consistent follow‑up, and optimise productivity.
Maintain and refine AI‑assisted cadences, templates, and snippets in Groove or Clari to continuously improve performance.
Document best practices, conversion patterns, and outreach learnings for ongoing optimisation.
Log all outbound and inbound activities accurately in Salesforce to ensure clean lead, contact, and account hygiene.
Analyse engagement and intent data (opens, clicks, replies, scores) to improve targeting, sequencing, and prioritisation.
Provide weekly updates on meeting creation, outbound volume, pipeline influence, and opportunity progression.
What You Will Bring? Required Qualifications
2+ years experience in BDR, SDR, inside sales, demand gen, or related lead‑gen roles.
Proven success building outbound workflows and generating qualified meetings.
Experience using AI tools for content generation, research, sequencing, and workflow efficiency.
Strong ability to stay organised, self‑direct, and independently prioritise daily execution.
Proficiency with Salesforce, 6sense, Groove/Clari, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and B2B intent tools.
Excellent communication skills—clear, concise writing and strong verbal presence.
High attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data and adjust strategy based on performance.
A genuine appetite to learn MDR, security operations, competitive landscapes, and buyer pain points.
Collaborative mindset and willingness to coach and be coached.
Desired Qualifications
