Alumni Engagement Specialist Workweek: 40 hours | Flexible schedule to meet department needs to include possible evenings and weekends.

One Year Assignment.

Position Summary: Engaging college alumni is critical to building successful community connections, industry collaboration, and growing funds to support students and programming. The Alumni Engagement Specialist creates engaged community advocates, volunteers, and donors. This energetic and organized individual identifies activities and programs/events to specifically increase alumni engagement. The position also serves as a key liaison with the MCC Alumni Association.

Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

Recruit, steward, and engage MCC alumni in support of student success

Support the development of programs, events, and activities that meet goals for alumni engagement

Help develop and execute a communication plan for alumni

Help develop and execute an event and program engagement plan for alumni

Identify, update, and maintain CRM database and repository to house and grow an alumni network of data and contact information

Grow and engage alumni committee in execution of activities and events

Collaborate with internal MCC partners to identify and align resources

Work collaboratively with others (e.g. colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilities

Assume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution

Event planning and volunteer management experience

Relationship management experience

Strong project management experience

Experience working with database systems

Desired Qualifications

MCC alumnus

Bachelor’s degree

Experience in alumni relations/outreach in a higher education environment

Bilingual communication and writing skills in Spanish

Experience using CRM and alumni management systems (Salesforce, etc.)
