As a Vice President and Escrow Services Deal Negotiator in Liquidity and Account Solutions, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of institutional escrow client relationships and negotiate legal agreements ahead of deal closings. This role offers the opportunity to interact directly with clients and attorneys on high-profile escrow transactions for M&A, Debt Capital Markets, Litigation, Bankruptcy, Account Bank, and beyond. You are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer by understanding their needs. Additionally, you’ll partner with the Sales team, aiming to earn repeat business through exceptional client service. JPMorgan Liquidity & Account Solutions (“L&AS”)
works with global clients with complex cash management needs who operates across multiple countries, currencies, legal entities, and time zones, including multi‑national corporations, high‑growth technology companies, commercial banks, non‑bank financial institutions, central banks and broker dealers. Our advanced, end‑to‑end solutions which combine physical, notional and virtual techniques enable our clients to achieve visibility, control and optimization of working capital.
Job Responsibilities
Understand the business purpose and deal structure for new business referrals
Interact with clients’ external counsel to directly negotiate escrow and related contracts in a proactive and professional manner
Turn around red‑lined comments proactively, quickly, and with an understanding of past precedents to ensure we meet client responsiveness and closing date expectations
Ensure the potential risk and liability assumed by J.P. Morgan under each agreement is within permitted guidelines
Work with team members to ensure account and deal information is set up on all technology platforms with contractual obligations denoted
Act as the primary point of contact for allocated clients and manage the retention of client relationships
Serve as a subject matter expert with a deep understanding of client needs, and lead solutioning and the adoption of existing and upcoming client‑facing product capabilities
Understand client pain points and refine solutions while regularly communicating critical client feedback to Product teams to inform future strategic direction
Escalate any issues promptly on identification
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
5+ years of relative work experience in financial services
Experience within client services and experience with legal agreement negotiation for M&A escrows and paying agents
Ability to problem solve across multiple teams and a cluster of products
Extensive experience working in a sales cycle and engaging with clients on a regular basis
Experience solutioning for complex agreements or onboarding problems
Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially negotiating
Strong attention to detail and multi‑tasking skills
Strong Excel and Word skills
Team player experienced working in a highly matrixed and complex organization
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience with Project Finance Account Bank
Experience with Litigation (Qualified Settlement Fund) and/or Bankruptcy (pre‑ or post‑restructuring) escrows and depositories
Proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese helpful
