Inside Sales
The Macomb Group, a leading distributor in the Midwest specializing in Pipe, Valve, and Fittings, is seeking a full-time Inside Sales Associate for our Deacon location in Harleysville, PA.
We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude who can effectively manage sales-related tasks, including telemarketing, order processing, and customer service. Responsibilities include managing assigned outside sales accounts, processing customer orders, and providing quotes and inquiries. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monthly telemarketing 10-11 house accounts, as directed by the sales manager, and maintaining up-to-date records for all house accounts.
Responsibilities
Prepares work orders received via telephone, mail, fax, or EDI. Orders processed accurately and quickly.
Coordinates purchasing of items necessary to expedite work orders when required; non-routine items coordinated through purchasing.
Sets up material work orders for special handled materials including vendor contact to obtain necessary commitments.
Contacts individual assigned accounts with main goal to increase sales by providing exceptional account servicing.
Obtains required information to process a return authorization promptly.
Prepares quotations in a timely, competitive manner while supplying the customer all required information in a complete professional format.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, invoices, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to interpret and respond to routine correspondence.
Proficiency in basic arithmetic and use of spreadsheets, word processing.
Education and Experience Ideal candidate should possess an Associates/Bachelor’s Degree. Mechanical trade oriented background is definitely a plus.
Physical Demands Regularly required to use hands, reach, talk or hear; frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit. Occasionally lift up to ten pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
