The Macomb Group is a leading distributor in the Midwest for Pipe, Valve, and Fittings. We are looking for a full-time Account Manager for our Sales division with mechanical piping and industrial piping experience at our Harleysville, PA location.
Job Description Outside Sales Account Manager.
Responsibilities
Continue developing and servicing a targeted customer base.
Contact assigned accounts with the main goal of increasing sales by providing exceptional account servicing; daily contact via phone, e-mail, or in person.
Proactively identify customer needs and requirements.
Serve as a liaison between customers and the company, representing the company in a positive and professional manner and meeting/exceeding sales goals.
Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgetary constraints.
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Participate in the emergency service schedule as directed by Sales Management.
Participate in further education and training of new products and technology as directed by Sales Management.
Maintain customer relationships by providing prompt service for all orders, inquiries, complaints, returns, and coordinating such matters with other associates as necessary.
Report to management any company activities that could be detrimental to achieving sales objectives and/or forecasts.
Review with Sales Management all inquiries of a competitive or product-sensitive nature.
Monitor daily quotations and follow up in an expedient manner to gain increased sales and/or competitive information.
Attend vendor in‑house seminars covering new products and increasing overall knowledge of existing products.
Maintain open order reports on a weekly basis.
Exhibit excellent communication and an “above and beyond” attitude to customers and fellow employees.
Proficiency in computer systems and ability to interpret purchase orders, invoices, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
Qualifications
Experience with PVF and industrial supply sales is required.
Professional etiquette, appropriate attire, and independent transportation are required.
Minimum 5 years of inside/outside sales experience; mechanical trade‑oriented background is a plus.
Knowledge of Industrial Supply, sales theory, and pipe, valve, and fittings is essential.
Demonstrated confidence and appreciation for customers.
Work Setting Harleysville, PA – Monday to Friday, day shift.
