Originally created to provide additional capacity for the shipping public, our client's network has developed into a sophisticated Third-party logistics company. Our client is a one stop shop service for its customers of outsourced (or “third party”) logistics services for part, or all of their supply chain management functions.
Job Type: Full-time; Hybrid Responsibilities
Present and sell company services to current and potential clients.
Prepare action plans, identify specific targets, & project the number of contacts to be made.
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
Identify sales prospects, initiate contact with these and other accounts as assigned.
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-ups
Identify and resolve client concerns.
Communicate information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
Finalize and close new deals.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars and networking events.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience
2+ Years Transportation Sales experience preferred. (Brokerage, Truckload, 3PL)
Broad knowledge of transportation/logistics functions. Some expertise may be acquired by on-the-job training.
Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor thus providing a positive company image to the public.
Essential reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
The job scope will require significant local travel to potential clients; therefore, the successful candidate will possess a valid state driver’s license with a good MVR report.
This position offers a competitive base salary.
