We are looking for a Fund Accounting Manager to join our team. This role reports to a VP/Controller. Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Additional compensation
Annual Bonus Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate should possess 7 to 10 years of accounting and auditing experience, including the following: Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring professional staff. Proficiency in GAAP financial reporting, with a preference for experience related to investment companies and fund-of-funds. Competence in using general ledger accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct). Experience as a liaison with external auditors. The ability to plan and execute financial statement audits. Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor the daily operations of the accounting team, with a specific focus on the Company's investment funds; establish and regularly review the Company's accounting policies and procedures. Maintain and improve internal controls and procedures. Ensure timely and accurate financial reports and information. Collaborate with the external accounting firm during the year-end audit and conduct a thorough review of audit reports before final issuance. Respond to various investor requests for reports and information. Provide mentorship and foster the development of the Company's accounting staff. Candidate qualities
Strong financial analysis skills. Effective management and mentoring capabilities. Initiative and creativity in problem-solving. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A collaborative and team-oriented approach. Adaptability to changing circumstances. Self-motivation and a dedication to achieving goals. Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Holding a CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification is highly preferred. Seniority level
