Primary Function Provides administrative assistance in the retail lending department for both consumer and real‑estate loans. This position assists in the preparation of loan documents, checks for errors, and gathers necessary information to ensure successful loan documentation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepares final loan documents accurately and in a timely manner for funding of all consumer and real‑estate loans.

Review and mail all proofs of titled collateral insurance to Allied for weekly tracking.

Monitor and log properties in flood zones; ensure HOI provided at closing shows appropriate coverages.

Disburse funds on all real‑estate‑secured consumer loans.

Provides follow‑up documents and other correspondence to the lender(s).

Processes HELOC mortgage filings and releases, Indiana RREAL filing and early disclosures as a back‑up to the HELOC Specialist or other Lending Support Specialists as needed.

Establishes membership, application and funding of RateGenius loan requests.

Assists departmental staff in processing various activities involved in credit granting, performing additional duties as assigned.

Perform all loan support duties such as disburse checks, record/release liens and mortgages, and general lending clerical duties.

Write and mail maturing Primequity member correspondence; prepare for electronic filing of member letters.

Organize and track consumer and mortgage loan files in electronic format.

Obtain all information necessary to complete transactions, prepare correspondence, filing lien instruments, maintain records, and handle renewals or releases.

Assist in compliance with BSA, OFAC, AML, and other regulatory requirements.

Operate the Credit Union’s financial and loan processing software systems.

Maintain orderly filing of documents and secure file room operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities.

Performance Standards Performs functions accurately and timely; professional appearance and attitude; utilizes interpersonal skills in a team environment.

Qualifications Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Two to five years’ experience primarily derived from prior experience working with loan documentation at a financial institution.

Associate’s degree in finance or business is a plus but not required.

Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; interpret loan agreements and debt obligation documents; write correspondence and routine reports; effectively present information to members of the organization.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills & Abilities Operate general office machines and equipment, utilize programs such as Excel, possess keyboard proficiency and accuracy; well organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of multi‑tasking.

Physical Demands Use hands to handle objects, walk and sit frequently, occasionally stand, reach, stoop, kneel; lift or move up to 15 pounds; requires good close and peripheral vision.

Mental Demands Requires attentiveness, precision, problem solving, numeric, persuasiveness, auditory perception, memory, creativity, concentration, judgment, writing and reading ability, reasoning, imagination, initiative, patience, visual perception, comparison and analysis.

Work Environment Quiet to moderate noise level.

Regulatory Compliance & Confidentiality Follow BSA, OFAC, AML, and other policies; maintain confidentiality regarding non‑public information about members and the Credit Union.
