ROLE SUMMARY:
The firm is seeking a senior-level Trust & Estates Tax Partner to lead a dedicated private client group focused on wealth transfer planning, fiduciary taxation, and complex estate matters. This leader will oversee sophisticated advisory and compliance work for affluent families and multigenerational client structures, drive practice growth, and serve as a strategic technical expert for the group.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and review advanced fiduciary, estate, and gifting tax engagements across a broad range of client structures.
Interpret new tax developments and proactively identify strategic planning opportunities for high-net-worth families.
Provide guidance on complex estate architecture, wealth transition strategies, philanthropic planning, and fiduciary matters.
Serve as the primary advisor for clients navigating intergenerational wealth, family governance, and legacy planning.
Build, manage, and mentor a team of experienced private client tax professionals.
Develop business through networking, relationship expansion, and market-facing initiatives.
Partner with internal specialists (valuation, advisory, planning, etc.) to deliver integrated client solutions.
Ensure high-quality work product, risk control, and clear documentation of tax positions.
Represent the practice at select industry functions, client events, and thought leadership forums.
Uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive client information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
12+ years of experience in trust & estates taxation, with substantial leadership responsibility.
Deep technical expertise in fiduciary, estate, and complex individual tax matters.
Experience advising ultra-high-net-worth clients and multi-entity family structures.
CPA, JD, or LLM preferred (not required if equivalent experience).
Demonstrated success leading teams and driving practice development.
Base pay range $220,000.00/yr - $500,000.00/yr
