Key Responsibilities
Act as a primary source of expert guidance and support on all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance , in alignment with applicable legislation, internal policies, and client requirements.
Support and coordinate a team of HSE Advisors to ensure successful execution of EPCM projects .
Serve as the interface for the HSE function , promoting visibility and collaboration across project teams and broader business units to achieve high-performance outcomes.
Contribute to the creation and execution of the HSE Assurance Plan , focusing on auditing high-risk areas and offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
Assist site leadership in developing and reviewing HSE documentation , including Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements aligned with client SLAs and KPIs.
Collaborate with on-site teams to establish, implement, and sustain HSE policies and procedures tailored to specific business unit requirements.
Compile and submit HSE performance reports and metrics as required.
Lead and participate in audits and inspections in accordance with the company’s Integrated Management System.
Design and deliver training sessions, toolbox talks , and awareness programs to enhance HSE competencies and compliance.
Keep line management informed of HSE initiatives and progress.
Lead or assist in incident investigations , compiling detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide expert advice to on-site personnel, including contractors, to ensure consistent application of safety standards.
Support periodic training and seminars for clients, staff, and stakeholders .
Encourage and promote the sharing of best practices and insights across the company to drive HSE consistency.
Contribute to cross-unit audits and assessments to support broader business objectives.
Help achieve company occupational health and safety targets .
Maintain active engagement with H&S representatives and workforce , ensuring ongoing communication and participation.
Lead behavioral safety and culture transformation initiatives .
Manage collaboration with client HSE teams to align expectations and performance.
Qualifications & Required Skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in HSE , preferably in an EPCM or similar environment.
Strong understanding of organizational change management in the context of safety culture.
Skilled in active listening , stakeholder engagement, and tailoring communication across different levels of the organization.
Proven ability to work with and influence senior leadership .
Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong presentation skills .
Resilient, with the ability to work under pressure and engage with change-resistant stakeholders .
A team-oriented professional who thrives in collaborative environments .
Experience facilitating workshops and documenting business processes and change impacts is a plus.
