Job Summary
EastLake Church is seeking a compassionate and energetic Birth‑2 Ministry Director to create a safe, loving, and Christ‑centered environment for children from birth through age 2 and their families. The role involves overseeing care, age‑appropriate programming, and a dedicated volunteer team.

Level: $18.00 / hr
Hours
- Sunday 7:30 am – 2:30 pm
- Monday – None
- Tuesday 9 am – 2 pm
- Wednesday 9 am – 2 pm
- Thursday 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm (COT/Rooted Season) and 9 am – 12 pm (Non‑COT Season)
- Friday – None
- Saturday – None
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned ministry rooms and volunteers during service experiences on Thursdays and Sundays.
- Recruit, train, lead, and support ministry volunteers.
- Provide care for volunteers and families, fostering spiritual growth and community.
- Engage parents to support children’s spiritual development.
- Create, edit, and prepare the Birth‑2 Ministry curriculum.
- Purchase and prepare necessary supplies within budget.
- Complete administrative tasks: leader scheduling, assimilation, and record maintenance.
- Assist the Kid’s Ministry Pastor and support designated EastLake Kids Ministry events.
- Attend weekly ministry and staff meetings.
- Help set up and tear down the Birth‑Preschool area each week.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience recruiting, processing, and training volunteers.
- Ability to nurture volunteers and provide pastoral care.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- General audio/visual knowledge.
- CPR/First‑Aid Certification preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Must be comfortable moving in and out of offices, classrooms, and ministry environments throughout the day.
- Occasional overtime may be required for events, weekends, or seasonal programming.
- Must lift and carry infants and toddlers, push a buggy bus, bend to pick up toys, and assist with diapering or toileting as needed.
- All staff must uphold cultural expectations, including regular attendance, personal tithing, and a lifestyle consistent with church values.
