
Overview The Copywriter is responsible for executing all copywriting needs across the company and helping develop editorial content ideas on a monthly / seasonal basis. Copywriter should be well versed in both editorial and promotional copywriting, across all digital assets (email, paid social, paid search, retail clienteling assets, retail invites, social captions, etc.).
Responsibilities Write and refine compelling copy for email, SMS, paid social, site, and digital campaigns that inspire action and align with performance goals.
Translate business and creative briefs into clear, engaging messaging tailored to different audiences and channels.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure copy aligns with data insights, channel strategy, and creative direction.
Maintain and evolve the brand voice across all touchpoints—from product storytelling to campaign taglines, CRM personalization, and marketing messaging.
Contribute to campaign ideation and editorial content planning, supporting both seasonal storytelling and evergreen messaging.
Self-edit with precision, balancing creativity with clarity, and respond thoughtfully to feedback in fast-paced review cycles.
Partner with teams to concept, test, and iterate messaging that performs.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
5-6 years of professional experience in copywriting, content strategy, or brand storytelling, ideally in fashion.
Experience as a copywriter with a background in retail and/or lifestyle brands.
Strategic and creative storyteller with a passion for merging creativity and conversion.
Experience writing for fashion, lifestyle, or retail brands across both brand-building and performance campaigns.
Comfortable switching between big-picture concepting and detailed execution—from headlines and taglines to long-form storytelling.
Highly collaborative, with the ability to balance brand tone, creative direction, and marketing objectives.
Strong portfolio showcasing work across digital, marketing, paid media, and social.
Proven ability to write conversion-focused and brand-building copy.
Excellent communication, editing, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools.
Salary: $75,000 - $105,000 base salary. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary for this New York-based position. The base salary will depend on experience and qualifications, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other employees.
