Overview Photojournalist - Spectrum News 1 role at Spectrum News. You’ll work with a team of journalists to shoot and edit material for newscasts and across platforms. Responsibilities Shoot and edit material for newscasts. Elevate stories with fresh angles, lighting, and points of view. Collaborate with a team to create compelling, timely, and accurate content for traditional and digital platforms. Work independently and with a supportive team. Qualifications Experience: Shooting and editing television news footage - 5+ years Education: Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience Technical Skills: Operation of ENG/SNG/Satellite vehicles and bonded cellular streaming Skills: Clear communication; ability to relate to diverse populations Abilities: Positive attitude and problem-solving; lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds; ability to distinguish colors and discern sounds Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to cover important stories in the neighborhood and willing to interact with the community Schedule: Ability to work different shifts, be flexible with schedule changes, and cover standby responsibilities when assigned Driver’s license: Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the state of residence Preferred Qualifications DSNG experience Working Conditions Works inside in a climate-controlled environment and outside throughout the year; may be exposed to various weather conditions Drives company vehicle to and from locations, obeying traffic laws Compensation The base pay range for this position is $20.00/hr - $33.10/hr. The actual compensation offered will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums; certain positions may be eligible for bonuses or other incentive-based compensation.
