Overview West Sound Workforce is partnering with a Poulsbo-based non-profit organization to hire a Market Associate for their store operations. This community-focused organization connects local residents to sustainable resources and offers programs and services that strengthen the well-being of the entire county.

Shift information

Tuesday – Saturday 9 am – 5:30 pm

What you will do as Market Associate

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Market environment

Train, support, and collaborate with volunteers, clients, and donors

Check in/out shoppers and assist with inventory, including receiving, sorting, stocking, and tracking food donations

Support grocery rescue, home deliveries, food drives, and serve as a backup driver when needed

Follow health and safety protocols and provide friendly donor acknowledgment

What we are looking for

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

Valid WA driver’s license and safe driving record

Bilingual candidates and prior food bank, retail, or similar experience are a plus

Food Handler’s Certification preferred but not required
