Job Summary KPLC‑TV in Lake Charles seeks a motivated and dynamic Anchor/MMJ to join our news team. A successful candidate must be a proven leader who is motivated and passionate about storytelling, an effective communicator who excels in reporting, and can cultivate sources to produce enterprise stories. Applicants should have a love for local news, a passion for creative storytelling, and a positive attitude. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: generating story ideas, setting up interviews, shooting and editing stories, and anchoring on both linear and streaming platforms. The role also requires maintaining professional social media accounts, assisting producers in showcasing stories, and producing content for our streaming channel. Qualifications Strong live reporting skills and a drive for breaking news. Proficiency in all digital platforms. Experience shooting and editing own stories; a college degree in journalism or a related field is required. Driving required for this position; an MVR check is required.
